My journey to Esthetics:

I began to notice my skin changing in my 30s. Horrible cystic acne that was painful and embarrassing suddenly emerged. I would try to get ready in the morning without using a mirror, so I didn’t have to see my skin. I would turn down friends for lunches, decline to parties depending on how bad I felt. Which is crazy right? I went to several dermatologists, plastic surgeons, nurses. I tried several topical and pharmaceutical medications, one of which dehydrated me so bad I was put in the hospital. I knew there had to be something better than this. I started doing my own research, learning about ingredients, wellness, holistic therapy and my acne was showing some improvement, but I was still having a lot of breakouts. Enter the term esthetician. Mind blown! Since we live in such a small town we really did not have access to estheticians. I consulted a master esthetician based in Seattle, Washington, and she changed my life. She provided me with products, supplements and procedures that brought on real change and improvement. I felt better and I wasn’t embarrassed for people to see my face. I even had several compliments from friends and family. I realized how important it was to feel good in my own skin, and I wanted to provide that service for others. SkinCo was born out of a passion for all things skincare, and I'm so grateful you're along for the ride!
